The Cape Town Flower Show is absolutely delighted to introduce the renowned Carina du Randt as the official curator for Epson Flowers in Art gallery.
Epson is partnering with the CTFS to bring floral art to life, joining the many other exhibitors to celebrate an aligned ethos of beauty, sustainability, culture, and community.
Trained as a fine artist and following a 15-year career as an art consultant and interior designer, Carina pursued her passion for contemporary art and artists full time in a gallery/museum environment after relocating to the Cape Winelands from Gauteng in 2009.
She was appointed as the curator for The Gallery at Grande Provence (until 2013), during which period the estate won the ‘Best of Wine Tourism Award for Art and Culture’ twice. Then, in 2014, Carina was appointed as the curator for Equus Gallery at Cavalli Estate near Somerset West (until 2016) and the estate was honored with the Award in 2015.
Her interest in and dedication to the natural world manifested with exhibitions like ‘Walk this Earth Alone’ and ‘Soil’ at Grande Provence and the annual ‘Kingdom’ exhibitions at Cavalli Estate which explored a variety of themes concerning our indigenous natural environment.
Currently an independent art consultant, curator, and artist, Carina works from her studio on a farm near Franschhoek where she lives among vines, orchards, fynbos, and a food factory with her partner, three sons, two cats, and a labrador.
